Craig grew up in New Zealand surrounded by various animals and qualified at Massey University in 1989. He spent his first years working in practice mostly focusing on the dairy industry. He arrived in the UK in the early 1990's intent on staying and traveling through Europe and Africa for a couple of years, but ended up buying a practice in Surrey. A move to Cornwall in 2004 saw him follow his dream of owning a small farm and he keeps various animals including cattle and sheep.
Craig joined Elm in 2012 and when John and Dick retired, he took on the role of Clinical Director where, alongside his fantastic team, he is striving to provide excellent care for his patients. He has a special interest in orthopaedics and has a general practitioner certificate in small animal surgery.
Craig loves the outdoors and spends much of his free time working on his farm and garden, along with hours throwing the ball for his barmy chocolate lab, Fred and his noisy jack russell, Moe.
