Craig Hainen - Clinical Director
Craig Hainen BVSC GP Cert SAS MRCVS Clinical Director

I grew up in New Zealand surrounded by various animals and qualified at Massey University in 1989.  I arrived in the UK in the early 1990's intent on staying and traveling through Europe and Africa for a couple of years, but ended up buying a practice in Surrey.  I had always dreamt of owning a small farm and in 2004 moved to Cornwall where I now keep various animals including cattle and sheep.

I joined Elm in 2012 and when John and Dick retired, took on the role of Clinical Director where, alongside our fantastic team, I strive to provide excellent care for my patients.  I have a special interest in orthopaedics and a general practitioner certificate in small animal surgery.

I love the outdoors and spend much of my free time working on the farm and garden, along with hours throwing the ball for my barmy chocolate Lab, Fred and noisy Jack Russell, Moe.
